Probably just older setups if they weren't widescreen. Right now I'm typing this on a Viewsonic 20.1" 1600x1200 that is still going strong after about 8 years with only very minor anomalies (although it was factory repaired once about 6 years ago, the power supply went tits up and I sent it in for warranty work). Most of the newer day-trader workstation monitor arrays are widescreen. Here's one example: http://www.tradingcomputers.com/TCarrays.html Some of those dedicated day trader workstations probably have part-availabillity contracts with suppliers that could potentially keep those old monitors going for a very long time. Buddy of mine is a day trader and he has some kind of custom system that I guess qualifies as a computer, but everything about it is proprietary including the OS.
