IPS monitors look superior to TN all things being equal (especially
when it comes to viewing angle...tilting the monitor, etc), it's just
that they are slower. For doing work I want IPS, and for gaming if I
can't have a CRT I would want a TN to eliminate blurring.

The degree to which blurring is a problem varies from game to game,
between individual gamers' eyesight differences, and with individual
panels (all TN panels are not equal nor are IPS).

The VG248QE is currently considered the holy grail of gaming monitors
for those who play fast paced games, and it is a TN panel.
