There is a way you could do it. Get a Windows Vista install disk and use it to upgrade XP to Vista, then you should be able to upgrade Vista to Windows 7. You don't need a Vista key and you don't need activate it. Just install it in "demo" mode without entering a key. I did similar thing when I upgrade my mom's computer from Windows ME to Windows Vista.
