Yea, I didn't have a problem with melee combat in Gothis 3 like everyone else seemed to have at the time but Risen 2 just felt wonky to me, I still have it installed but the whole pirate thing didn't grab me either so I'll probably just un-install for now and wait for a community patch of sorts to arrive. Risen 1 was a little better in that regard but the game world was so tiny and un-inspired that I never managed to finish it. Keeping my fingers crossed for Risen 3, if they manage to make it half as immersive and fun as G2 and G3 I'll be in heaven.
