Major difference it was story-driven so a bit linear, though still you could go almost anywhere, like on the first island (tutorial not counting) you could sneak into high level castle and steal (if lucky) some decent loot. Puzzles, typical mockery were there. Graphic wise what 3D game of those times was not ugly? With rare exceptions they all were. BTW M&M6 was bashed for its graphics immediately, so what? Thanks to 3DO the game was not polished, and there were rough angles. (TELP unofficial patch is a must, of course) But if one is ready to put a little effort into initial phase of this game, he/she will not be disappointed (most probably).
