Yes..The Longest Journey is a really good game..just finished it myself. Screams for a sequel though. After playing Torment I really couldn't go back to playing games like crpgs NWN, so I checked out The Longest Journey. Well worth it. BTW..I was able to run the game just fine under WinXP Pro and DirectX8.1; so it should work under DirectX 8.
