Agreed... if the speech packs really ARE that bad, like Origin's have been. But if the speech packs add full sound to more than 90% in the game which is what one buying a speech pack would expect, then why not? I would buy it with no complains. The "rip-off" comes when the speech pack basically gives you only a few messages out of a potential huge amount. Case in point: I bought WC2, at a time I did not have a sound card.. and this was more than 2 years ago. And I only got my soundcard about 6 months ago. So what do I do? I go ahead and buy the speech pack, because I would LOVE to hear speech EVERY- WHERE in this game... after listening to the introduction, it was something I always wanted. And after installing all 3 or so Mb's of it, what do I get? Speech in combat only... Major disappointment or what? And I bought it cheap, too... consider all those disappointed people who bought it when it first came out and paid ALL that money for it. A great pity, really. Which also leads me to this point: Not everyone would want a speech pack - firstly because they don't always have a soundcard and need the HD space (as I described above), hence I can see why speech packs are sold separately. But darn it, if you make a speech pack, make it a GOOD one, eh?!?!?!?!! - Falcon
