Glass swords always work. Or, if you have Forge of Virtue, the Black Sword
works well too. If neither of those options appeal, then try double clicking
on the tetrahedron in the middle of the room BEFORE you kill the monster.
I didn't try that myself, but it might just work...you never know :).
