I am very anxious to get a CD-ROM drive. I have a 386/40 and will soon
have , hopefully, 8 megs of RAM. I have a monitor capable of 640x480x256
and a Wang video card capable of 800x600x256 or 1240x768x16 with 512k
memory. If a get a 2x speed CD-ROM, will the video be choppy because of
the video card? If I upgrade the video card, will it solve the problem
(I assume I will not have to get a new monitor as long as 640x480x256 is
sufficient for the games). Please let me know via email if possible, and
if you have any suggestions at good, cheap, sufficient video cards,
please tell me thos also.

Much thanks,

David Swift
