Is there a way around the disk loader.... When I put the CD in it says "Wrong operating system" and won't proceed any further.... Previously it worked on my machine before I got Windows XP

On that special day, John, (sittinginthepool@internode.on.net) said... > Is there a way around the disk loader.... Ask in the proper newsgroup: comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action Follow-up to set accordingly. Gabriele Neukam Gabriele.Spamfighter.Neukam@t-online.de -- Ah, Information. A property, too valuable these days, to give it away, just so, at no cost.

There you can tell Windows to pretend that it's an earlier version for games foolish enough go give such errors. Right click on the shortcut and choose Properties. The dialogue you get contains a compability tab. Check the box for compability mode for Windows 95. Rikard

Hi good folks of these groups I tried the suggestion of the XP compatibility wizard and set it to Windows 98 and the game played perfectly...... Yes I know it was an obvious solution and I should well have noticed that myself but I overlooked that when I set up the shortcut on the desktop... I should have noticed it then and there in the properties panel but failed to... Thankyou anyways.
