Are there any decent online games for
people with a dialup connection possibly
using email or text only like the old
ZORK or PLANETFALL games ?

Whats the deal with trolls,
Why do people get so worked up over trolls ???
This is a free world
people can do darn well what they please.
Why put a label on everything.
Do not lead the witness.
Let each person decide for himself whether or not
a given post is a troll.
Trolling is what fishermen do to catch fish.
That is exactly the intended purpose of a bullitin board.
Why such a terrible thing a troll ???

There are games called MUDs that would work just fine for you.
MUD is an acronym for Multi User Dungeon
Massively multiplayer, text based, and free.
Google search MUDs and find yourself a good Telnet MUD client program.

If your looking for a good MUD might i point you in the direction of 
blackfire (blackfire.winterdale.com) port 4000. best mud there is imo.
