Hi I'm a bit out of touch with PC games but I really used to like the space shooters that were around in the 80s and 90s (eg R-Type, Salamander, Starfox and that excellent psuedo 3D one I can't remember the name of but paid Ł50 to import for the SNES!) Have there been any decent space shoot-em-ups released in recent years - 3D or flat? Thanks Tim

Oops! Forgot to mention that I'm mainly interested in PC stuff, possibly Playstation 1. Tim

Strayfire was also nice, maybe lacking on gfx department but grab demo of that in net also to try out... http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/ is good place to check out shoot'em ups i think... but they are lacking pile of pc shooters, sadly...there's some other shoot'em up sites (or used to be) but can't remember url...
