I am attempting to run the El-Fish demo. Apparantly, it does not like my Tseng ET3000 based video board, because even with a VESA driver loaded it tells me El-Fish will not work on it, when I attempt to install. Does anyone have: A) The documentation the demo referred to regarding supported chipsets B) Authorataive information on whether an ET3000 card can work in hirez mode C) The Low resolution demo available by FTP Any help greatly appreciated, I need the relaxation of a working fishtank, even more now that installing the demo is turning out such a hassle. - Ryan

There are a number of VESA extensions that don't support this mode, particularly if it is a device driver provided from a source other than the manufacturer of the card. -Chris

Try running the reconfig.exe, the configuration left by install doesn't seem to work on a lot of machines. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= But I am frightened for you, children, | that the life that we are living is in vain, | -Richard Hartman and the sunshine we've been waiting for | har...@uLogic.COM has turned to rain.... |

The VESA drivers I have found (card predates VESA, so not on install disk) did not support 100h for my Orchid Prodesigner+, I guess it's the chips, because the driver does bother to support 100h on ET4000 based Orchid cards. Thanks for the clarification. Anyone got the low resolution version? - Ryan Grant
