I have just seen Planets Edge in the shop too. (The same shop for those who
saw my Spelljammer game question). I think it too was on special. I'll steer
clear of spelljammer for now, so I was interested with Planets Edge.
The box showed something similar to an Ultima 7 type of game. Is this one
worth getting?
Thanks all for your help.

I enjoyed it.

It's highly linear in each subscenerio, and it's pretty hard to tell
where to start in a sector. Also, the PCs moved by the computer are pretty
stupid.
On the plus side, you've got ten scenerios to solve, and most don't have
to be solved in any order. Also, I enjoyed the individual miniadventures.
This game involves a lot of combats, both on the ground and in space.
