I just bought Wing Commander I (w/ Special Missions I and II) and am having problems with my joystick. My machine is a 486/25 SX and I have had the joystick a long time and have never had this problem before. What happens is that the pointer just freezes causing me to use the keyboard (which is not really possible for this game). Also trigger firing stops. This can be right in the middle of a mission or at the start of the game before a mission. I wouldn't be complaining, but it happens about a third of the time (by Murphy's Law the third of the time I'm winning the mission). Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix (and if so, where)? Thanks in advance.

(Wing Commander will activate its mouse control if you just tap the mouse)

What is the best car setup when the track is wet. I usually use 40 front and 40 back for my wings, but I still end up getting whipped because my tires squeel too much; I don't have enough acceleration after a slow, sharp turn. I have also tried to shift earlier but then it takes a long time for me to reach top speed. HELP, I do great when it is not raining but I end up near last when it does rain. u...@uful01.phys.ufl.edu
