Do you play games over the Internet? Want to find out if your the best? Join
Cases Internet Gaming Ladder and prove your the best. This site basically
ranks and brings together the best players in the world for a wide variety of
games which can be played over the net. It doesnt cost anything to join.
The site is really just for people who love to play games against each other
over the net. Just goto http://www.igl.net to find out more information or
read on.
What is Cases Internet Gaming Ladder?
Basically the ladder is web site that ranks players who play against each
other over the Internet. Its an amazing simplistic yet highly accurate
ranking system which pits players of all abilities against each other. When
you join the ladder for a particular game you start at the bottom. You can
challenge any player you like and if you beat them you move up half the
distance between their rank and yours. Theres no complex rules, you can play
anyone on the ladder any time.
In other words if you just joined you would start at the bottom of the ladder,
say 500. If you challenged and beat the number one person, you would then be
ranked 250. The best part is if you get challenged by someone beneath you and
you lose (Im sure this would never happen to you) you dont drop any rank.
So in the above example, the #1 person wouldnt lose any rank by playing and
losing to the #500 player. About the only way you can lose rank is by playing
someone directly under you. In other words if the #1 player plays the #2
player and loses, they would switch spots.
Why would I want to join this ladder thing?
#1) Well theres a couple of reasons. Have you ever had the feeling that,
yeah I know I rock in this game. Youve beaten all the people in your
neighborhood, all your friends, but you still wonder how you rack up against
the best players in the world? Well this ladder brings together the best
players in the world. Once you figure how to play games over the net (we give
help to show you what you need to do), it allows you to find out how you stack
up against the best players in the world.
#2) The ladder is a great way to find people to play against. If your
sick of playing against the computer and want some live flesh to pit your
skills against, then the ladders is the place. Even if your not the best
player to grace the earth you can find a wide range of players to play
against.
#3) Hell your on the Internet, do something cool with it
Hey! I went to your little web site and my game is not on your ladder!
Well tell us! Goto the web site or e-mail us at ca...@westol.com to
let us know what games you want a ladder for! Basically any game that can be
played over the internet we can set up a ladder for. If we get enough people
to let us know they want a ladder for their game well set one up. Currently
we have about 10 games that we have ladder for including Warcraft 2, Red
Alert, Links, Quake, Descent, Cyberstorm, Deadlock, Duke Nukem, Command &
Conquer and a few others. But if your games not up there and you think it
would be cool if it was, let us know by all means! I mean there really is the
possiblity to extend this ladder ranking system to all types of games. Right
now we just have ladders for a couple of action/strategy games but we could
make ladders for card/board games, sport games, rpgs or just about any type
of game you can think of so let us know!
Ok half the stuff I see on the net makes me pay, what about this?
Basically this ladder was created by a couple of people who just loved playing
games over the Internet. When we started playing each other there was no real
way to prove who was the best. One of our little players, Case, (whos the
computer guru of the group) decided to invent this "ladder" which would rank
all the players who joined it. Were not some greedy corporation thats trying
to advantage of people, rather some guys who just love playing games over the
net. Youll never have to pay to be on the ladder if you dont want to. We
do offer this gold type package for 10 bucks which gives you a bunch of extra
stats on how your doing and stuff, but that money really just goes to offset
the server and bandwith expenses. And you never have to get the gold package
if you dont want to.
Hey this sounds pretty cool, where do I go to find out more info?
