Greetings and a happy new year to those i forgot to greet!

First an explanation:
The Patches Scrolls in its two release formats - one for usenet and
a different one on the web - will be no more. It just takes
way too much work to keep both formats alive so i had to decide
which to give up. Since it's way easier to publish content on the web
and much easier to publish latest news and reach an audience there
i choose to discontinue the Usenet version.
It's a sad fact but each new issue of my scrolls
took me between 6 and 12 hours to compile in 1996 and since
more and more patches get added with each issue this would
become much worser in 1997. But i don't want to leave people
without web access (or bad connections to the web) behind,
so from now on i'll publish a "What's new this week" around
every sunday in
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.annouce,
comp.sys.mac.games.announce,
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.misc
Those who missed an edition can always request the latest edition by
sending e-mail to m...@irz.inf.tu-dresden.de
Write "send patches scrolls" as your subject, nothing else except for
this subject is required. Do not forget one letter or it won't be autosent.


This first issue will cover the week from 6th january until 12 january
