I stood there with the same problem: monster 3dfx or viperv330????
viper was $75 (150 in my currency) and monster $148 (296 in my curency)....

So for the money i bought the viper and hell it was worth it on the network
games we compared the vipers with the monsters and a viper kicks ass. The
only drawback is it only supports d3d 2d an openGL so for a gam like Special
Ops i have to wait for the patch and so for UNREAL i have to wait for their
patch....

The viper is a main card accelerates MPEG 2D D3D and openGL,
got it rendering at steady 34 fps at 1280x1024 only my monitor didn't
support 1600x1200.....
One more advantage is the viper is excellent in a Pentium II whether it's
teh PCI or AGP version (AGP was in Quake2 800x600 1-2 frames faster so....)

The monster 3d makes up for it al by supporting all 3d games.....

tough choice you've got there I made mine, low budget but if you have more
to spent hell you better upgrade to a P II or at first a voodoo2.
