Ok, I know it's an oldie, but I'm into it now.

Have been on a mapping expediition to Delta Prime.
Coming back I keep running across one of these
'capital ships'.  The ones with the green lights and 
big green 'blobls' that really hurt when they hit you.
Like...once or twice and your dead!

I picked up an alien gun from a deserted hulk in
the Delta Prime sector.  It seems pretty powerful.
Certainly drains the energy levels though.

But no matter what I do I can't seem to faze this
Capital Ship.  Don't even dent its shield no matter
how many missiles and guns I fire at it.

Can anyone remember how it's best to defeat this 
thing.  I can't even outrun it.
