I just loaded this up and got the memory free yesterday.  The game
needs 1MB of XMS - EXPANDED memory.  QEMM is certainly the best memory
manager to provide that, but I managed with old DOS himem and emm386.
Make sure you go and "install" the correct sound configuration before
you play.  Mine defaulted to a non-existant setting.

My config.sys:
