I don't mean to nip any bitter sarcasm in the bud, but I just got back
from a visit with the HG2 team yesterday. It's almost an entirely new
team from the HG1 guys (I believe many of the HG1 folks left
Activision); the HG2 folks seem to have a renewed sense of
priorities, particularly an emphasis on team tactics during single
player games and a whole new framework for mission design. Although
the demo looked great, it was really hearing the guys talk that was
most encouraging.
Unless marketing pulls rug out from under them ("We're going to ship
this weekend to beat the Labor Day rush!"), I'm very excited about
HG2.
