Well, I personally recommend the SoundBlaster 16 ASP, from personal experience, because i switched first from SB 2.0 to PAS 16, but now i am back with creative labs SB16. The board sounds really great, does all u can want(no flames on this please). Yet i noticed some problems with the Linux SB drivers from the sound-kit, so there might be a slight incompatibility hidden somewhere. Still, under DOS/ WINDOWS it seems to work perfectly.
