SN>Well this may be slightly off the subject, I have a SBpro with the cd-drive >creative puts out(it was a gift.nice gift at the time :( ) anyhow, I got a t >floppy controller won't have any of it. NOW for the question. I think the PA >is sotware setable. IS THE SB16? or will my cd work with the PAS16? How >about os/2 drivers for either one? Both the PAS16 and SB16 allow you to setup the DMA's and IRQ's via software. The SB16 has the advantage of only using one interupt-I have one of each, and while each has its advantages, I find myself using the SB16 more...A SBPro cdrom drive won't work with a PAS16, as the PAS16 interface is SCSI. OS/2 drivers exist for both boards-beta versions for both exist. Hope this helps-I understand your hardware woes all too well-trying to stuff an ethernet card into a machine with all slots full can be very challenging!! Geoff Geoff Lewis --- . 1st 1.10 #1277s .
