  I have looked thru the last several days of traffic for this newsgroup
(which I do not normally read), and havent seen any answer to some questions
I have, so I'll post them :

  1) I just recently bought QfG4, I can't seem to import my character (a thief)
from QfG3. I can import my character from the 1st and 2nd games, though. Does
the patch fix this?

  2) I looked at several ftp sites, and although I found a hint/solution, I
could find no patch. Where is it?

  3) Is it worth getting this patch, or would it be wiser to wait for the
permanent patch? (someone mentioned it would be out in 30 days or so ...)

  4) Just as an aside, is there anyplace that I could get a complete walkthru
for QfG3? (I just wanted to see what few things I missed ...)

The only character I've tried to import from QG3 was the thief and it went
perfectly for us so I don't know.

There IS a patch out.  It is called qg410a.exe.  I downloaded it but forgot
exactly where from.  It was probably cs.uwp.edu since that is my favorite.
Try archie? (Never works for me.)

I got the patch but did not install it because once you do, you cannot restore
any of your previous saved games.  Also, people have unamimously said that
it only fixed things for a little while, then the problems came right back.
I'm on about day 13 and it has gotten so bad that I'm considering deleting
the game and playing something else til they fix it right.

I have no idea where you might download such a thing.  I have the store-bought
Sierra hint book for it and would gladly answer your questions using it.
