The CyberMan is closer to a joystick than it is to a mouse. Though,
it does look like a mouse-on-a-stick. The x and y directions seem to
return absolute values like a joystick, though the drivers can have
it emulate a mouse (I believe 100dpi). The other DOFs are all switches
(z-axis, pitch, yaw, and roll), which I thought was a bit limiting, but
not unexpected.

Being closer to a joystick has an inherent problem in that mousing is
not possible with the CyberMan. So if a game uses a mouse and some mousing
is involved, then I suggest you use a real mouse. For example, DOOM cannot be
played with the CyberMan (acting like a mouse). It would be nice if some
drivers were supplied where-by you can use the CyberMan as a joystick,
but ... :( The drivers they give for Windows work fine though.
(NOTE: The drives do allow you to use a mouse AND a CyberMan if you
have both.)

The so called "tactile feedback" is a joke. The thing simply vibrates
and makes a vibrating sound. Gives your hand a nice buzz whenever it's
used, wouldn't really call it feedback. Though, I must admit, when
trying the demo of Shadow Caster, I began to rely on the buzz for feedback
and stopped thinking of it as stupid.

I found the design to be semi-comfortable though a bit ackward at first:
it feels like a high mouse. However, if you want to rest your palm on the
palm rest, then you've got to have long fingers to push the buttons. Also,
I've found that at first, if I wasn't careful I would accidently push down
the z-axis while trying to click a button.

Overall, I found it of limited use: I wouldn't use it as a true mouse and I
can't use it as a joystick since there are no drivers, yet. However,
for games like Shadow Caster (which actually supports the CyberMan), it
works great: it does take a little getting used to, though. The main
problem with the CyberMan is finding games or programs which will use
it properly. (One reason why I'm not sure if I'll be keeping mine...
But I probably will, I like toys. ;) )
