Hi, I have a little problem. I bought larry 5 thru the net from someone
and installed it no problem. But after I go thru the intro sequence it asks
for a password (It says something like "Oh, you're back back.....enter your
password...."). I can't find anything in the docs about this. Is it a
manual copy protection?? Am I missing part of the documentation?? HELP!!

As I recall, the password was optional. Many players were confused by the
opening request for a password. If yours is a new game, then you don't put
in a password. If someone else played and put in a password, too bad.
The password is a device for parents to choose.

I beleive the buyer has the option to add a password when it is first ran...
You may need to talk to whomever you purchased this from.

There's some small config file (can't remember the name of it -- look
for a "new" small file). Just delete that and when you run the game
from the beginning, *don't* fast-forward past the intro -- then you
can enter your own password if you want or tell the game to not use
a password.

The problem isn't that you got the game from someone else as others
are suggesting. They didn't alter the install disks now did they?? :)

The problem occurs because there is sort of a bug where if you
FF the intro the first time you play you don't get to the initial
password-setting screen.

Doug.
