If you did that, then you probably missed the rock/vent pair on the screen
where you found the black pebbles by the crystal stairs and doggie stegosaur.
	Flying shoes have no use I have been able to determine (I'm at the very
end - fighting the hand).

The flying shoes aren't used for anything!  I am not sure why you can't find
another stone.  Did you have two when you jump into the vent to get down there
in the first place?

Youre on the rigth track. As I recall there were 4 vents. One in the room with
the preshitoric bow-wow, one in the arrival room, one in the Anchor room, and
one in the room with the anchor door and lift-off pad.
 
You don't use the Flying shoes. But you might wan't to take note of the color
of the potion.

There is a little volcano next to the Stairs...I missed that one

Forget the Flying shoes...I completed the game w/o them.....this game is just
one "red herring" after another and you still have a ways to go.
