Been working with Gray Matter now for a couple of nights. General overall feeling is very similar to Moebius: Empire Rising. Rather logical since both are Jane Jensen's adventures, from her company. Very obviously they also share the graphics and inventory engines. All little but annoying quirks are there, such as: -overall slugginesh of movement, heroes looks like he/she is really ice skating instead of walking -unnecessary slow animation in detail (such as "pick up" command: it is really *not necessary* to take few sidesteps, turn around and then come back, so that the hero would pick up a glass from a table) -thankfully you can skip dialogue lines by left-clicking, to speed up the interaction -You cannot pick up stuff to inventory until proper time. Just like in Moebius, you have to backtrack to pick up stuff you have already discovered. -Moebius puzzles were way more interesting than here. And like in Moebius, story arc seems to be going thru the roof: I am right now in Chapter 3, and already I am getting vibes that we are going to end up in serious weirdness... :/ Well, so far so good, worth the 1,99 I paid. Will report back for more. Cheers, R.
