Only 30 hours left, that was close.

It wasn't *that* close. They were curving steeply upward three days
before the deadline.

The donation rate dropped off sharply on the second-to-last day, which
I guess implies that they chose their stretch goals poorly. But they
got the important part.

The Rift support stretch did make it in, great!

Andrew

Do you know why only 30 days are allowed to meet the goal?
I believe they (anybody on Kickstarter) can still receive donations after the 30
days but I don't know that for sure.

Thanks

No, once the deadline hits it's all over. Cyan has said they'll still
accept direct donations by Paypal, but Kickstarter is done.

KS lets the artist set any deadline up to 60 days. However, 30 is the
most successful plan, and that's what Cyan chose. It seems that any
longer period allows the momentum to slump too much between the
initial excitememt and the deadline rush.
