I've already played through the AGI and SCI versions, and the content smells like Lefty's john at this point. ;^) -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten

Me too. Seems lots of the legendary PC developers are turning to
Kickstarter these days. Tim Schafer raised $3.3m for a new adventure.
Jane Jensen has one going for various adventure games (possibly Grey
Matter 2) -

And next month Chris Jones will be launching one as the last chance EVER
to make a new Tex Murphy game -

(LOL! I'm saving up my pennies for that one!)

I'm saving up my pennies for that one!) Hi Matt, yes, Kickstarter seems to be a popular way to get money to make PC games. Tim Schafer did really well. I am like you. I would like to see another Tex Murphy as I am a fan of Chris Jones. For me, I would like to see a similar type game as Pandora Directive with the same characters in it as most of them were very good actors and it had a very good story and was FMV, but I don't think that would happen, but nice if it did IMO. I wouldn't want to see a continuation of "Overseer". It was disappointing. Did you play Grey Matter (or anyone else here). Did you think it was a good game? I didn't play it. I played the demo and it didn't seem very interesting to me, but maybe it was OK. If Jane had made another Gabriel Knight game I would probably buy it, but unfortunately I don't think she has the rights. Mary

I remember not being too impressed with the demo. Anyway I'll get to it one of these days. The new Jane Jensen game, if the funding goes through at Kickstarter, will be Moebius. She originally pitched three ideas and the the backers voted to pick that game. According to her, it's somewhat similar to Gabriel Knight, but has more sci-fi aspects. I added my $16 pledge to the project today. There's an article on Kotaku about the game <http://kotaku.com/5903850/gabriel-knight-creators-new-game-will-have-a-matrix-twist-star-the-awesomely-named-malachi-rector> By the way she mentioned somewhere of a remote possibility of making a Gabriel Knight game, but that it depends on how successful their current endeavors turn out to be. -- Noman

I'm not much into metaphysical sci fi, so don't know if I would be very interested, but I would have to see when more of the game is made. > By the way she mentioned somewhere of a remote possibility of making a > Gabriel Knight game, but that it depends on how successful their current > endeavors turn out to be. That would be of more interest to me. I loved all the GK games. It always left me wondering what would happen next. I liked the acting and characters in the game, so for me, I like a lot of interaction in games between the characters which you got in the GK games. They were funny, and kept me interested. But we will have to see how this new game Jane is making turns out. It might be good. Kickstarter is new and is a good idea to get game designers and programmers going. Thanks for the info Noman.
