Hello all,

I have been having numerous problems trying to get games to work
with OS/2 2.1. The main problem with most of them is I don't get any
digitized sound.

	My setup is as follows:
model:	IBM PS/2 9557
CPU:	IBM 486SLC2 50/25MHz
RAM:	8MB
OS:	OS/2 2.1
HD:	212MB SCSI (HPFS)
	160MB SCSI (HPFS)
video:	XGA-2 1MB VRAM
sound:	Sound Blaster PRO Micro Channel Version

I can't get Return to Zork to get past the old man in the teleorb.
It just hits a loop and crashes. :-(

I can't get the screams and yells in DOOM. I get gun fire and
music but no voices.

I also can't get ANYTHING from xwing when I set it up for the SBPRO.
The only way to get sound is to set it up for the ADLIB card. But I get no
digitized sound doing that.

Is there a problem with the SBPRO MCV? Could the MMPM/2 drivers be
the problem?

I would appreciate any comments on the setting for the games, card,
or anything. Thanks in advance.

I have a 9577 & SBPro MCV. I changed the SB port addr to 240 from 220
because I heard that 220 conflicted with SCSI. Don't know whether it
matters. I get all sounds on XWing (SBPRO setting), although with the
joystick enabled the FM sounds are flaky. Other than this flaky FM
synthesis with the joystick enabled (Why???), most other games seem
to work as well with MC as I thought they did with ISA.

Another happy OS/2 user.
I have no idea what my company's viewpoints are on anything.
