ST-JR HELP PLEASE!!!!

I just bought it, install it (I have a 486 SX 4MB Ram and more than 40 MB
available on disk) but now it doesn't work, I type RITES and the screen
just gets blank and I can't do anything.  MY monitor is  VGA.  
Does anybody know how to help me?
