I hope someone can help me with this before I go mad!

Ive reached the Mystery Vortex in Sam'n'Max and I cant find the mole man
I think I need to talk to. According to the "walkthrough" I simply
switch the magnets on so that it gives off a red light (behind the
mirror) and then enter the red door. However all this gets me is one of
a few random results when I actually enter the door (the same as if I
entered the blue door). Where is the mole man? How can I find him? I
assume I somehow need to be told to look behind the door by someone else
but Im pretty sure Ive talked to everyone and the only person who
mentions the "uncle" mole-man is the first one you meet in the tunnel of
love.

If anyone can help please reply!
