Oh well. In my experience it has. Most reviews I've seen have reported equal or faster frame rates under w2k. The stability of the OS makes it far better in my opinion. I dont want to have to close all my programs down to play a game - extreme frame rates arn't a big issue for me as I'm only an occasional gamer... I've no idea why some ppl might have problems with sound under w2k... well okay I know SBlive cards are weird under it sometimes. I've not found a game yet that wont run perfectly under w2k on my old machine: Windows 2000, SP2 SB Live Athlon 750 Chaintec 7AJA motherboard 512Mb GeForce 2 Ultra It runs like a dream with Deus Ex, Quake3, Unreal. Not tried anything else tho + I dont have to shut down any apps or anything AND it's a web server. I dont even see any stuttering.
