Well, for starters, I'm curious who told you there *was* anything wrong
with SBLive!. I've neither heard, nor read anything. Have you seen some
criticism online somewhere? I'd like to read it.

I've had my SBLive! for close to three years now (or whenever the heck
it was that they first came out). I've used and abused it, and it has given
me no problems worth mentioning. I easily have put over a thousand
play-hours on it, and it's still going strong. In fact, it's just now
beginning a third "tour of duty" in my latest machine. It's the oldest
sub-system card I own. Almost every other component has been replaced
somewhere along the line with a newer one.

I see a lot of A3D cards being talked-up online and in the magazines and
stuff. It seems a lot of the new pre-built computers I see advertised do
not have SBLive!s in them. This truly surprises me. As far as I know, no
other competitor's cards support Creative's EAX extension. As far as I'm
concerned, any hard-core gamer is crazy to miss out on the effect that the
Creative's Environmental Audio has on the "immersion factor" in a game. I
won't get into the nuts-and-bolts of what it does, but, when a
game-developer properly employs it, the effect is excellent. I don't know
why anyone would *want* another card...

Anyway, so much for my opinion,
