ALL COMPLETELY (and legally) DRM-FREE and , if necessary, updated for modern OS. Some come with both Intel-Mac and Windows installers. GOG downloads also come with a full set of "extras" including the game manual. Many of the adventure games have"game-guides" included, some polished up by GOG from publicly available "walk-thrus" STEAM is also adding to its adventure collection, mostly from indie developers... of course you will then have to deal with Steam-DRM ( mandatory Steam account, restricted to playing on one PC at a time with on-line Steam access required to transfer permission to run the game on another PC, etc...). Also, with older games on Steam, be very careful to note the listed OS requirements. Steam (Valve) does not make any special effort to ensure executable-compatibility with the latest OS. John Lewis
