I'm doing fine with ScummVM 1.3.1, I think GOG was using 1.2 something. The data files are good. You could try what I did. Install ScummVM 1.3.1. Then move "clusters," "movies," "speech" and "video" folders into a "sword1" folder in ScummVM. Then you can add the game by selecting "sword1" in ScummVM. You can get a current copy of ScummVM here: http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/ "Windows Installer" is easiest.
