thanx for the input i've gotten, however i guess i wasn't clear
in my first posting. i've read both walkthrus, and i've *done*
all the normal things: i'm at the right side near the fence,
i've talked to him, i've tried to tamper with the bowl while
he as there, i've tried giving him other things, i've spent 1/2
an hour just going back and forth on the tram hoping he'd get
tired and need a break, and, i dare say, i've even tried using
the zipper on him hoping he'd get scared away!!!

i *can't* get him to take the match, he keeps saying he doesn't
have any use for it, he just drives the tram. all the talking in
the world doesn't seem to get him to mention he needs a break.
i'm at the very end, so there isn't anything else to do without
getting the batteries!

anyway, i'm starting to think i'm up against yet *another* bug in
the game. this weekend the "delete" key in file manager may be the
final solution...
