Thank you for agreeing with me! :) > That's why I liked Kings Quest 6. I think Gold Rush!, The Colonel's Bequest, Conquest of the Longbow, Space Quest 3, Hero's Quest, etc. are btter integrated, but I still like KQ6 a lot. It had a certain cliched charm :) > Btw, I was playing Sierra titles for a long time, before they > converted to icon based design... They were all major nuisances.. Well, when I first played KQ5, it WAS disturbing...but that's because I didn't like the game much, however. I think GK1 and Conquest of Longbow proved that the icons COULD work, though. I didn't like the GK2 interface as well, but it was miles better than Phantasmagoria. No one ever mentions Rama, which is surprising. I found that game to be very enjoyable. > We should be thankful for people like Ron Gilbert, Aric Wilmunder > for streamlining the no-nonsense adventure game design, that > every game company (including Sierra) uses now.. Ron Gilbert was a saint. Too bad he's doing RTS stuff like Total Annihilation. I can't wait for Douglas Adams to prove that text games aren't dead with Starship Titanic! :) > -- > Noman
