I saw this post in another group from Dwight Derricks, a tech rep from
the NVidia Corp. He was responding to a question about existing sound
cards in light of the built in sound on these new boards:

You certainly won't have to ditch your other sound card. You can plug
the output of your sb16 into the Diamond 3D card(playing your sb stuff
in pass through mode. The sound is built into the NV1 chip. You will
want this as this is how NASCAR and Virtual Fighter Remix play back
their sounds doing hardware audio mixing. The waveout driver for the
NV1 chip also does multiple audio mixing, meaning you can have several
windows apps running at the same time all playing audio(try that on
your sb16 :) )

Did he say whether or not we would have to ditch our existing video board. I
just bought a new $600 dollar one which I am very happy with. I wouldn't want
to have to get rid of it to get 3D acceleration which doesn't have to be built
into a video card. Does the CL 3D blaster or the Diamond board allow existing
Video boards to function?
