Hi there.. Just a quick question. I recently got a CH Flightstick Pro - primarily because I'd used one with Tie Fighter at a friends house, but I cant get the bugger to work with Tie fighter.. How exactly do you get TF to recognise the Flightstick? The stick works fine, but TF refuses to notice the extra buttons, and hat. If you can help an email reply would be best. Thanks Chris O'Brien

Try running the configuration/diagnostic program (cjoy or something like that) that came on the disk with it. Try all the buttons, if they don't work you've got a single joystick port instead of a dual one. If you have a sound blaster (I guess all sound cards now have them) there is a joystick port there which is dual, try it out. (Be warned you might have to open your case and disable the joystick port on your IO card (or motherboard depending on the machine - I've seen motherboards with the IO card built in...).) If the diagnostic program reacts to all of the buttons then you're set. Start up Tie and feel the power of the HAT! (I'm amazed I haven't worn mine out. "MORE SHIELDS!" Left-left-left-left....
