Hi, Steam in Win10 says I am 52 hours into Skyrim but the load a game option is disabled. Only start a new game is enabled. I am afraid to do that. GOG: Installed GOG Galaxy but although all my games are listed, GOG is downloading them all and I have to start a new game (such as Witcher 3) also. For some stupid reason (probably due to curiosity) I started a new game and that is just what happened. I have to go through training all over again. I know I was way into it. Where are my save games? Any ideas? I've been searching for a long time but have not found a solution yet. Thanks, -pw

Skyrim puts its save game files in: C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves where <yourname> is your user name on Windows. So find that directory on your Windows 7 drive and copy everything it to the location above on your Windows 10 drive. It'll probaby easier if you boot into Windows 10, search through all your drives until you find Windows 7 save files and then copy the files to directory named above. >GOG: Installed GOG Galaxy but although all my games are listed, GOG >is downloading them all and I have to start a new game (such as >Witcher 3) also. Other game may store their save files in other places. You can try using Google to find out where. I exited Steam and there were my save games! I cannot belive it's been since 2012 since I saved a game! Doom is working now with a save game but it is not where I remember I left off and there is a slot with the difficulty "Hurt me plenty" which I would never do. I will try your suggestions. Be right back :-) -pw -pw

Any ideas how I can have it point to the already installed files in Windows 7?? -pw -pw

There is something along the lines of Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Steam Library Folders -> Add library folder and point it to your existing steam folder.

I went through all my drives and looked for Steam games and added the Steam library folders like you suggested. I think it worked as a bunch of games that I do not remember seeing in my Library are now updated (gosh, I hope they are not downloading them from scratch). So, I think that is the way and a slick way to do it. Thanks! My fingers and toes are crossed. -pw -pw
