I think this is free on Steam anyway.

Also a 78% off all the star wars games bundle, 24 games. I probably have
quite a few that are in that bundle but aren't on my steam account, but
at that price... very tempting for filling out all that stuff. Only
until the end of the day though.

Annoyingly, half of the Star Wars games I have on Steam, the other
half on GOG (and also all of them also owned on disc, but who wants to
pull out those old dusty relics anymore). I'd really like to have all
the games on one service but I can't justify paying for them a third
time... can I?

Apperantly this is actually through Monday, not just the 4th, so we've
got more time.

I know, I've probably got at least a third of them, but on disks. I
suppose I could dig them out and try to add them in to not have to pay
for the ones I don't have. The prices are so low it doesn't seem worth
it, I might be able to save $10-15 if I did that on the bundle, but I'd
probably be spending hours digging them up and installing them. Just
the Lego games alone which I don't have, and my son would love to play
would cost more than the bundle at regular price.

I could have sworn I bought the old Jedi-Knight games through Steam, but
they aren't showing up.

Can't you add them to Steam if you've got them installed from GoG, and
vice versa?

GoG periodically adds selected games from steam to your gog account.
You have to link the two accounts first, here: https://www.gog.com/connect

Blech, I tried it with Battlefront. You can only *really* add the game
to Steam if it has a Steam key, otherwise all you can do is a a
shortcut, which doesn't count as the game for the bundles. So no point
digging them up.

I don't think it would save you any money anyways. The Steam Star Wars
bundle doesn't give you a discount for the games you already own on Steam,
while on GOG the games aren't actually part of a bundle.

I already own pretty much every Star Wars game that I would actually
every want to play, but if I didn't I don't think I go for the Steam
bundle anyways. There's a fair bit of junk in the bundle, so even I
didn't own a single Star Wars game it would be cheaper to just to buy
the individual games that don't suck.

Indeed, it is a really nice feature (if not, in my opinion, the wisest
move financially on GOG's part). But it will not import /all/ of your
Steam games (or at least those games that correlate to GOG's library),
only those that they allow at certain times. The Star Wars games were
never on this list :-(

Adding a non-Steam game to Steam really isn't a panacea either, since
it requires that game to be installed for it to work. I've got
thousands of games and 99.9% of them are not installed (and I've no
intention of doing so until I want to play them). Plus, it would still
require me to fiddle about with optical media, a task I find so
annoying that avoiding it is the main reason I buy games on GOG and
Steam these days ;-)

No, I'll either have to wait for GOG to add the Star Wars games to its
GOGConnect service or bite the bullet and buy those silly games...
again. Oh, that life can be so tragic and full of woe! ;-)

Actually it does, If it's a Steam game anyway. The only one I had
through Steam was The Force Unleashed, which it gave me a discount for.

The price of just the two SW Lego games, which I'm sure will see play
from my son, along with TFU 2 outside the bundle was more than the
bundle. So I got it, figuring the rest were free.

Hmm... it does look that way now when I look at the bundle now after
the sale. Still I think it would've been cheaper to buy the games you'd
actually play individually.

The Star Wars Lego and The Force Unleashed games were $5 each for me,
much cheaper than buying the entire bundle for $45 or so. The bundle
was 77% off, but all the games in it were 75% off individually. Just
dropping one of the crappy game from the bundle should've saved you money.
