This is unacceptable. I have been playing these games. I have lost all my save games because steam is treating them like I haven't installed them.

I have literally scores of games installed that use Steam. I play many of them of the course of a week and everything is as I left each game last time I played it. There are the usual updates and patches, but that's it. I checked the Steam forum, there's nothing about this. Trust me, those forums would be awash with vitriol if this was a general problem with Steam itself. I hope you get it sorted soon. It sounds like a horrible glitch to have to live with. -- Rob

Doubt it. A single current win10 install, and these issues would
disappear. Why does he not have the anniversary update installed? No
explanation. Why does he 'need' dual-boot? No explanation.

I have two big monitors and no room for a dedicated PC or other monitors. In the first place, I would not unhook and rehook them to switch PCs. Make sense now? One PC, two monitors. I ran Windows 10 update. I could not find out how to download the Anniversary Edition. I will try again. -pw

You might want to look at running Windows in a VM (virtual machine) instead of dual booting. You'd want to run the version of Windows you want to play games on as the host operating system, and the other version as the guest operating system. This means you can test things on both operating systems much quicker because you don't need to reboot. If this is happening with multiple games then it's likely your problem is that your games have been moved or deleted somehow.
