Quick question, as this has probably been answered before. I have two computers .. networked together ... Each of these computers has it's own 28.8 modem ... I am wondering (can you guess already) if it is possible to run a networked version and modem Doom or Doom2 at the same time .. ie: 4 players .. 2 dialin and two networked.. or even 1 dialin and two networked.. it's probably possible, yet i am not sure how to procede .. or with even what software to try and use (ie: should I set up a BBS or what?)... Any help would be appreciated .. However, due to the size of the news groups I would prefer that you email me any suggestions that you might have to the above address.. Thx for your help .. -- |-| Nicholas Wilson |-| |-| nwi...@scs.ryerson.ca ACPS3 |-| |-| www.scs.ryerson.ca/~nwilson |-| |-| Ryerson Polytechnic University |-|

Do you want to run 2 DOOM copies, with 2 players in each machine? How?

There is a driver which makes a modem connection appear as a IPX
session. This allows 4 player via a BBS frontdoor. Don't know if
this can be mixed with local network nodes.
As to the question of newsgroup size, is you news reader that you
cannot scan through the group and search on keywords in the
headers eg Doom (let alone search in the body of articles, in which
case try searching on you name).
