Has anyone tried to run Lemmings The Tribe in Windows 95? I can't seem to get any of the sound FX that I use to get when running in DOS 6.22. It says FX Loaded (or initilized or something), and when it use to say that, the lemmings said "Lets go!" and stuff like that. Now, even though it says that, I only get the music. I tried running in both Windows 95 (and it runs slow that way) and in MS-DOS mode but can't get no sounds. Is this game dead??? Anyone? Richard Mahn mah...@cs.uidaho.edu

It *will* run under Win95, and very well, too. I had a similar
problem at first, but both music and SFX are now all present and
accounted for. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what I did
to get it running.... I think it was this: don't use the Win95
installer ("Add/Remove"), but instead exit to DOS and install the
game the "old-fashioned" way. Then run the game from Win95.
...btw, do you have a Packard Bell with AzTech sound drivers? If so,
that might be your problem; those drivers have clashed with Win95.
You'll find updated drivers on the Win95 CD, which you'll need to copy
over into your Windows/System file. Don't give up -- it's a great
game! :-)
