I am more than impressed with Epic's new game.. a true fast action scroller.. Although I'm still too addicted to abuse to get a hell of a lot of play in on it, I have to say - the graphics are fantastic (using Pent. Mode) and the scrolling is extremely smooth - even though I'm running it in a 95 dos box.. I've never really enjoyed these types of games, but this is the closest thing I've found to a really interesting PC flight/shooter that isn't reminiscent of my old 8 bit Nintendo. Chris. It looks as if you were actually doing something while we waited. The added secrets, such as the destructor game make it that little bit better. How many more weapons and ships are there in the full game? I'm a little bit dubious about getting the registered version, because normally all you get is twice as many levels plus the shareware ones, which, lets face it, is not really value for money when the original third was free. I hope you have gotten over this problem. Simon. > R...@access.digex.net > Cr...@epicgames.com > >

Simon, >I agree! Well done Epic! It looks as if you were actually doing >something while we waited. The added secrets, such as the destructor >game make it that little bit better. Thanks! A lot of things were added AFTER the original release date including big things such as network/modem play and arcade mode. Those Eclipse guys worked their butts off for almost 2 years to make this a totally polished effort. They're the ones who deserve all the congrats - all we did was bitch at them <g>. >How many more weapons and ships >are there in the full game? I hope you have >gotten over this problem. You might consider the original episode free but really it's not - it's just out there as a marketing tool. We could have put out some lame (and much shorter) demo instead but then people would never get the full effect of playing the game. We spent a lot of time, effort and money making Tyrian. When people register they're helping us recoup the costs of ALL the episodes, including the shareware episode. Mark Rein, Epic MegaGames. Check out the Epic Web Site at http://www.epicgames.com
