Under the equipment section, you are give the choice to install hand
actuators. What are those and what do they do? They take up 1 critical
per side.

If you put weapons on a arm and that arm is blown off, you lose the weapons.
If you put Ferros-f, endo steel, heat sinks and so on, and that arm is
blown off, what happens? Do you lose the heat sinks and armour? I can't
tell what happens.

Ferro-fibrous and Endo Steel spaces are "null" spaces, i.e. they take
up crits that could be used for weapons but can't be destroyed (if the
computer allocates a hit to that space, it just rolls again).

Spaces that are left blank at the end of crit allocation are also "null".

The only purpose I see for the various actuators is as "free hits", i.e.
if you take a crit on your arm and you have three actuators and a weapon,
then there's less chance that the weapon will be hit than if there was
only one actuator.

Heat sinks die when their location is destroyed or blown off. Losing
Ferro-fibrous and Endo Steel spaces has no effect on your 'mech.
