Ok, after playing Abuse in 320x200, I decided to see what it looks like in SVGA, so I go ahead and use the -size switch in DOS. At first it complains resolution not supported, so it gave me a choice of 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024. In each of those modes, the game takes up a tiny little part of the screen and makes it less enjoyable than the full screen 320x200. If I try -size 640 480, it says resolution not supported and again gives me those other choices. Why doesn't it recognize my Mach 64 in 640x480? It does have that mode built into the hardware (or it should theoretically). However, I found a few other games that have trouble with the Mach 64 in those resolutions. For being one of the most expensive PCI video cards out there, you'd think the Mach 64 would get something as simple as VESA modes right. Is there any way I can make my Mach 64 conform more strictly to the different VESA modes? Does the latest UNIVBE support it and if so, where can I find the newest version? Thanks. -- ------------+ From the creators of GIF News, comes >>> GFX News <<< Eric Hsiao | The FREE magazine that covers hardware/software, internet, games, ------------+ and more! GFX News * GFX News *| Email subscriptions: hsi...@rpi.edu * FTP: ftp.rpi.edu/pub/misc *
