Any pointers to where I can find the original PacMan gamewill be greatly appreciated. If can find a lot of clones, but not up to the original, IMO. Also, who is the author / vendor of PacMan ? Thanks. Padu

There have, to my knowledge, been only two licensed Pac-Man games for the PC, one by Atari and the other by a company called Thunder Mountain. Both of these versions are quite old, and neither is as good as some of the "clones". If you are looking for a licensed Pac-Man for the PC that looks and plays like the arcade version, forget it. If you are interested in a similar game which plays as well or better than the original, then you should definitely try: Marshall Stowe's Pac-Page": http://www4.ncsu.edu/eos/users/m/msstowe/WWW/Pac-Man/pac-man.html This site contains every comparable game I've seen, as well as a great deal of other interesting Pac-Man trivia. I recommend it highly. BTW, if you haven't tried PACMANIA 1.1 yet, please give it a try. In the book _Fatal Distractions_ (Waite Group Press, 1994), David Gerrold calls PACMANIA "one of the most playable Pac Man clones we've seen." It's not as colorful as some more recent releases, but it plays as well as any of them, and even after 5+ years, I still enjoy playing. Good luck. Gregg Seelhoff, author of PACMANIA 1.1.
